We use solvent-based or water-based polyurethanes, with finishes ranging from matte to high gloss.

Court/Line Marking

Here at Dorrell Flooring, we can help with line marking for a wide range of sports, including basketball, indoor netball, badminton, and squash. If you are unsure whether we can do it, just ask us!

Additionally, we can remove existing lines and change formats as required, using the latest court marking paint to ensure their long lifespan.

Household Floors

We offer a wide range of polyurethane products, including solvent-based and water-based options, available in matt, low sheen, semi gloss or high gloss finishes.

Floor Maintenance

Floor maintenance is integral to the lifespan of a timber floor.

Polyurethane wears with use, causing floors to become slippery, dull, and prone to dirt, grease, and residues buildup. Regular cleaning and polyurethane coating are essential to prevent potentially irreparable damage to the floor boards beneath.

We provide maintenance services including machine washing/scrubbing, sanding, re-coating, and supplying cleaning products for ongoing care.

We recommend that floors should be professionally cleaned every 6-12 months to maintain good grip, with a re-coat of polyurethane applied every 18-24 months to preserve quality.

WATER-BASED POLYURETHANE

Available in low sheen to semi-gloss, this water-based polyurethane is better for the environment and resists yellowing from sunlight exposure. It also reduces downtime during curing, as it contains no toxins or residual odors. Water-based polyurethane is durable and suitable for high-traffic areas.

SOLVENT POLYURETHANE

Solvent-based polyurethane offers a range of shine levels, from matte to glossy. This type of polyurethane is known for its durability and suitability for high-traffic areas, boasting excellent scratch resistance properties.
